Situé sur un domaine d'une centaine d'hectares de bois et de terres agricoles, le Château de Praisnaud a été construit au XVIème siècle. Il comprend un corps de logis et deux tours coiffées en poivrières.
A la suite de travaux d'embellissement, le corps de logis a été remanié au XVIIIème siècle, les fenêtres ont été élargies et un grenier mansardé, percé de lucarnes a été créé. Au-dessus de la ferronnerie de la porte d'entrée, un coeur sculpté est surmonté de la date 1777.
Au charme de cette demeure ancienne, chargée d'histoire, s'ajoute son site protégé, son étang, qui inspire la quiétude, dans un environnement vallonné habité d'arbres centenaires.

Located on an estate of about one hundred hectares of forest and rural land, the Château de Praisnaud was built in the sixteenth century. It is composed of a main body ans two "pepper box" topped towers. It underwent extensive refurbishment in the eighteenth century, the windows of the main body were enlarged, and an attic with skylights was added. Above the wrought iron work of the entrance door is a sculpted heart dated 1777.
Adding further to this period home steeped in history, is a protected environment, a pond inspiring tranquility, in a hilly site planted with hundred years old trees.
